Celebrating Innovation and Collaboration: 2nd Annual Meeting & Facility Grand Opening

The NSF AIRFoundry hosted two full days of events on March 30 and 31, 2026, to celebrate our second year and the opening of the AIRFoundry’s User Facility.

On March 30, AIRFoundry hosted our second Frontiers in Science outreach event, inviting undergraduates from local 2- and 4-year colleges as well as high school teachers from the greater Philadelphia area. This year’s program featured two research talks, and industry panel, and lab tours.

In the afternoon, AIRFoundry members gathered to attend our 2nd Annual Meeting. With Keynote talks by Oriol Sunyer (Penn Vet) and Peter Frazier (Cornell), members engaged in lively discussions and shared their recent AIRFoundry research and activities.

Finally, on March 31, 2026, we welcomed center and community members, university leaders, and state and federal representatives for a Grand Opening Ceremony to celebrate the new AIRFoundry User Facility.
